A Standard Warranty comes with your
spa and can be upgraded to either
5yr
Silver Warranty or the
Lifetime
Platinum Warranty. The reality
is that all spas share the same or similar equipment, pumps, plumbing,
acrylic, PVC parts, construction methods, etc. Will you need a longer
warranty? Probably not. Will you enjoy the extra piece of mind? Some of
you will. Others are simply looking for a good price. With 3 levels of
warranty service, everyone can be happy!
The big national brand manufacturers bury the price of your warranty
service into the price you pay for the spa, knowing that it is unlikely
you will ever need it. This can greatly increase the price you pay.
Tsunami gives you a choice as to the length of your warranty,
charging accordingly of course. This will help to keep our prices low
but understand we still make the same quality spas with the same quality
parts regardless of the length of the warranty! That's just
honest business.
For those
of you who really buy on the strength of a warranty, you can have your
piece of mind and still pay less for your Tsunami Custom Spas than a
pre-fab unit elsewhere!
WARRANTY DETAILS-
SERVICE
CONTRACT:
Tsunami
Spas Incorporated hereafter referred to as Tsunami, agrees to provide or
pay for the replacement parts needed to maintain the product specified
herein, in working order throughout the duration of this contract, on
the condition that the failure of the product occurred under normal
conditions of use. The responsibility of Tsunami under this contract
shall be limited to the real cash value of the product in working order
at the time of the claim. Only Tsunami and Tsunami’s authorized service
agents have authority to decide whether the defective part should be
repaired or replaced.
SCOPE OF WARRANTY:
This
warranty applies to spas manufactured and sold by Tsunami or Tsunami’s
authorized agents and installed within the United States. This Limited
Warranty is given only to the first retail purchaser and terminates upon
any transfer of ownership. Commercial or semi-commercial applications
are excluded from all warranties. Filter cartridges, incandescent light
bulbs, spa pillows, pump seal, o-rings, heater element, cover locks are
not included in this warranty, but are warranted to be free from defects
at time of delivery to the original retail purchaser. Spa covers, ozone
purification systems and other spa accessories are excluded from this
warranty, although they may be covered by other manufacturers
warranties.
PERFORMANCE OF WARRANTY:
In the
event of any malfunction or defect covered under the terms of this
warranty a factory authorized service agent of Tsunami, will repair the
spa. (In some cases, reasonable service technician travel charges that
are not covered under this warranty, may be assessed if you live beyond
the normal servicing area of the factory authorized service agent
(outside a 30 mile/50km.radius). The cabinet is designed with
removable side panels and it may be necessary for entry from one or more
sides to provide service. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to
provide such access.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To
prevent structural damage to your spa, the spa must be installed on a
solid, level surface capable of supporting 90 pounds per square foot.
Inadequate support of the spa caused by sagging decks, soft earth,
improper shimming, etc.,
may cause damage to the spa and will void the warranty. All electrical
wiring must be done in accordance with the manufacture’s instructions
and the National Electric Code (NEC) or the National Electric
Manufacturers Association (NEMA). Use #6 solid copper conductors only.
Do not use aluminum wire. Use of this spa without the proper line
voltage and wire size will damage the spa equipment. Upon inspection of
any warranty claim, if a high/low voltage or mis-wire situation exists,
the customer will be charged for any repair parts, labor and trip
charges. This applies to all portable and in-ground spas.
ACTS
INVALIDATING WARRANTY:
This
warranty is void if the spa has been improperly installed, subjected to
alteration, misuse or abuse, or if any repairs on the spa are attempted
by anyone other than an authorized representative of Tsunami. Alteration
shall include any component or plumbing change, electrical conversion,
or the addition of any non-factory installed water purification device
or heating system which may contribute to a component or unit failure or
unsafe operation of the spa. Misuse and abuse shall include, but is
not limited to: Any operation of the spa other than in accordance
with the manufacturer’s printed instructions, or use of the spa in an
application for which it is not designed. Specifically: Use of the spa
in a nonresidential application; damage caused by operation of the spa
outside the specified voltage requirements (110v or 220v + or - 10%) or
the operation of the spa at water temperatures outside the range of 108
degrees F; damage caused by voltage spikes or “brown out” conditions;
“dry fire”; damage caused by dirty clogged or calcified filter
cartridges (see spa care and maintenance instructions in Owner’s
Manual); damage to the spa surface or plumbing caused from unbalanced
water chemistry and subsequent growth of organic compounds; damage to
spa surface caused by the use of tri-chloro (pool) chlorine, damage to
the light lens or other clear plastic components or plumbing caused by
the use of hydrogen peroxide based sanitizers, acid or any other spa
sanitizing chemicals or spa surface cleaners which are not recommended
by the manufacturer; damage to the spa surface caused by leaving the spa
uncovered while empty of water and in direct exposure to sunlight (this
may cause solar heating distress); and covering the spa with clear
plastic ( which may cause the spa surface temperature to reach as high
as 240 degrees F.) are considered abuses and may invalidate this
warranty.
DISCLAIMERS:
Tsunami, or any of it’s authorized agents shall not be held liable for
injury, or loss of use of your spa or other incidental or consequential
costs, expenses or damages, which may include but are not limited to;
the removal or reinstallation of the spa from a deck (permanent or
temporary), custom fixture, gazebo or housing. This contract contains
the entire agreement between parties. No other warranties, expressed or
implied, are valid unless in writing at time of purchase by an
authorized representative of Tsunami Spas, Inc. No agent, dealer,
distributor, Service Company, or other party is authorized to change,
modify or extend the terms of this Limited Warranty in any manner
whatsoever.
A
warning sticker has been attached to your spa addressing the
following:
PREVENT DROWNING: 1) Supervise children at all times. 2) Attach spa
cover after each use. 3) Spa heat can cause Hyperthermia and
unconsciousness.
4) Spa heat in conjunction with alcohol, drugs, or medication can cause
unconsciousness. PREVENT ELECTROCUTION 1) Never place any electric
appliance within 5 feet of spa.

Restocking Policy
All signed work
orders are considered contracts. Work will be done exactly as described
on your work order. No other additions
or subtractions to the work order will be performed other than by the
written approval of both parties. A 15% restocking fee will be
charged on all cancelled orders that have entered the build stage.

DELIVERY POLICY
Many
companies offer free delivery, many of which are curbside only. Part of
our service is helping you contract for delivery and placement
which means not just dropping the spa off in the driveway but actually
placing it at it's final destination.
We will
help you contract with one of several independent movers for a
Normal Delivery, i.e. a normal-sized spa up to 8', under 800 lbs
that can be delivered with 2 people and has safe and reasonable access
and terrain, with no demolition / construction involved and within
30 miles of Vancouver, WA.
You
may incur additional fees that you will negotiate with the
delivery company if additional people are needed because of the distance
to your home, terrain, access, size of spa or any other safety
issues. Some sites may need to have a spa "craned-in" by an outside
contractor or crane and operator that we will help you find.
